roguehyena.net/conan/This is a good website for anyone who might be interested in learning about the d20 Conan RPG. If I can get 3 or more interested players, I'd enjoy running a game.

Interesting; will have to look through it. Although the topless girl every other page means I'll have to be careful about where and when...

True story. The very first naked breast my younger son ever saw was when I wasn't careful about where I read a Conan d20 book.
I'm kind of torn on it, myself. On one hand its very accurate to the feel of Conan. On the other hand its totally gratuitous and unnecessary.

Leaning towards a Male Temptress (Tempter?) possibly Thief multiclass for a rakish jackanape/consummate Face man.

Tempter. Even though that doesn't sound nearly as cool as "Temptress" LOL
Awesome. We just need a couple more interested folk.

I might be interested, but I'd have to look over the rules (I'm not really familiar with the setting at all). I feel bad because this board is becoming more intriguing to me than the old one.

Variety is the spice of life, brohan.
(Sorry, I'm in a "bro" phase.)
The Conan setting is pretty easy to grasp. If you've ever seen either of the old movies with Arnold, they actually give a pretty accurate view. Perhaps the only thing that's a bit off is the blase' attitude Conan and his cohorts have toward the supernatural. Hyborea is sort of the ultimate "non-fantasy" fantasy setting. Even though most people accept that "sorcerers" are real, the vast majority of people can go their entire lives without ever encountering anything truly supernatural, and real "monsters" can cause fear in even the most seasoned adventurers.

I might just be interested. Not sure what kind of character. Maybe I'll let the dice decide, but I'm assuming you're using point buy so I'd have to adjust the results to fit whatever you're using. Or I could just play a Barbarian.

Oh, yeah... 32 point buy for abilities is my norm.

What level?

I'm going to say 1st. Normally with 3E(ish) rules I'd probably start at 3rd level, but I have to re-teach myself the differences between this and standard D&D

Whatever allows the typical Bossonian to endure a lifetime of moisture, Mosquitoes, malaria, and bloody Picts was lost on Quintus Cicero. His homestead was overrun when he was 14. After burying his family Quintus waited out the harvest, took up his bow, said bugger this for a lark and hopped on a caravan for the ports of Argos. There he was taken aboard the Coral, a trading vessel captained by a man named Sarbo. It was on the Coral that Quitus first saw paradise. As they set sail Quintus was in awe. Why would water choose to be bound up in the bogs of his home when it could be this free? Why should he? The sea was his mistress now. Quintus proved himself early on with his keen eyes, and able hands. He showed further value as a sharp shooter from the crows nest when fighting off pirates or raiding a ship themselves. As the years have passed Quintus has worked on many ships and now dreams of the day that he can own his own ship. Though boats are expensive and Quintus will have many adventures before he meets his goal.

Nice sheet, well written background. Once I get two or three more players, we'll be good to go.

I definitely want to play, but it may take me a bit to make a Character. You know how much I love Conan! If you get something started before i can make something, will you let me in anyway?
