I've been stewing this idea over for the last couple of days. Right now its very bare-bones, but I'd like to toss it out and see if it seems interesting to people. It's somewhat based (read; entirely ripped off) from other post-apocalyptic and future-magic scenarios, but with my own twists.
The setting is our world, but 100 years in the future. Some kind of unknown (to the people within the setting) apocalypse has occurred, and the world as we know it is gone. Our technology is nearly gone, but magic has swept across the lands. The world exists primarily as a series of feudal kingdoms, with chaotic wastes between.
Guns, cars, etc. all still exist, but they are artifacts of a mostly forgotten past, and must be maintained with care. Gunpowder and fuel are scarce, so keeping these items functioning is extremely difficult. In many ways, technology has devolved to an almost medieval level.
Magic is a new, but growing force in the world. Local mythologies dominate magic. North America is a mish-mash of competing magical forces (Native American Shamanism, Eastern Mysticism, Western European Magic, etc).
I imagine this as sort of a "fantasy" setting, where the artifacts are our technology, and the ancient lost kingdoms are our own nations.
Thoughts?

I already said "go for it" once, so doing it twice would be redundant.
