WK, are there any bodyguard talents for base classes or is the only tree the Protector tree for Elite Trooper? If so, do you have access to those talents? It's in Legacy Era and starts on page 41, called Protection. I've got a character generator that says where all of these are, but, by not having the book, I don't know what the talents do. Also, the worst part is that I'm not sure where I want to go with the straight-up bodyguard or if I want to eventually go into Jedi. I'd like to go Jedi in the end, but I don't want to be ineffective in the beginning (I'm probably going to just stay Soldier and take Jedi PrCs). I took a look at the Protection talent tree... none of them seem overtly powerful (and most of them seem to involve some degree of risk on behalf of the user), so I see no reason you couldn't simply take them as Soldier Talents. So… let me get this strait… the Protection talent tree is ok to use… but the Armor Mastery talent (p.44 LECG) is off limits? Who do I need to blow around here to make it acceptable?  |

Isn't it the same Armor Talent Tree that the Soldier gets?
Which is a fancy way of saying; if you want Armor Talent, multi-class to Soldier.

Believe me I don't mind multi-classing (in SAGA only)... but the talent comes from the Imperial Knight PrC. And don't worry! I'm just being a jackass! I don't need the talent man. Just trying to start a riot is all! |

Is this a specific Talent you're talking about? Because there is definitely an Armor Talent Tree that has nothing to do with Imperial Knights. Both of my Mandalorian Super Commandos have used it extensively.

I think you'd need the Imperial Knight PrC to have access to the talent tree.
But the one Brainstem wanted was for Soldiers.
