Ben smiled warmly in his cardigan when he sees Mrs. Pardo. He nods at Ron's sentiment adding, "I can't speak for the others, but there's anything I can do to help, I will."

Her voice cuts out and is drowned out by another, bigger voice.
"What the hell happened and who the ---- are these guys?!" A large man approaches, reaching into a jacket and pulling a gun out. The man's grey hair sits neatly groomed on top of his head, but his anger is clearly visible, almost radiating from his body. When the gun comes out, the other people in the mall begin to scatter, hoping to escape whatever may be about to happen.

Ron has seen this type of behavior before, and he knows he has to do something before someone gets hurt. Maybe he can scare him into putting the gun away. "As an officer of the law, I demand you drop your weapon this instant!" Intimidate check 1d20+7=9 |

As Ron threatened, Ben decided to go with kindness. "There's no reason to resort to violence. We can talk this out. Please calm down and lower the weapon before you do something you'd regret." Diplomacy check (1d20+4)=8 |

"Shit," the man says. "These aren't the guys, are they? Really?" Mrs. Pardo nods an affirmative, answering his questions. The man sends a few silent messages to her, through the use of overly emphatic body language, as if to say "you've got to be kidding me."
He puts the gun away and offers to shake the three men's hands. "The name's Ben Glazier. I understand you were present during Juan's funeral?"

Ron is taken back a bit by the man's sudden change in demeanor from threatening to friendly. Curious to how this man knows Juan, and really what this is all about, Ron listens intently.
