I just wanted to share a character I made earlier to test the system, primarily because I think he's awesome, but also to show some of the mechanics for the starting characters. I might also try my hand at adding some experience so he can have combos and improved abilities, or whatever.
Also if anyone wants to play as him, I totally wouldn't mind.
Name: Victorious Kokoff of the Western Seas
Concept: Chaotic Good Idiot-Hero Musician-Warrior

Motivation: Become widely acclaimed as the best musician and warrior in all of Creation.
Anima: Golden aura, looks like rippling waves with bubbles like music notes exploding in metallic twangs. On action, can spend 10 motes through anima and illuminates the area brightly, extends for (Permanent Essence * 10) yards, for remainder of scene gains +(Essence) lethal and bashing soak versus all creatures of darkness, can add +(Essence) to minimum number of dice for any attack made against a creature of darkness, automatically comes into play when spending 11-15 points of Peripheral Essence.

Inspiration: Kokoff is equal-parts Kamina from Gurren Lagann, Haruhara Haruko from FLCL, Elan the Bard/Dashing Swordsman from the Order of the Stick, and Buddy the Six-String Samurai. He believes in the power of love and music, but also of the strength of cold steel. He is also comes across as completely insane, but he might be considerably less crazy than he comes across as.
“Listen up! When this wave of justice crests it’s going to send us racing down into the face of our destiny! Prepare to listen to my song, for it is the Song of the Ages! CAN! YOU! DIG IT?! HYAA!!”
Born in the warm southwestern seas of Creation on a boat shanty-town, Kokoff was known as a bit of a troublemaker and a brave, big-hearted, (possibly over-)confident lunk with a heart of gold. It wasn’t until his teens, when, on a dare, he tried to surf the biggest wave of a hurricane that his Exaltation occurred. He almost wiped out, clinging to a piece of dritftwood, until he found a golden guitar sitting inside that lump of wood, a relic from a past age that (ironically enough) belonged to his First Age incarnation. The sun came out, and Kokoff came riding down strumming his guitar. As far as he’s concerned, he hasn’t come off that wave, avoiding the Wyld Hunt, righting wrongs, triumphing over evil, and bringing justice to those who need it most. And even when he can’t bring justice, he brings hope with every strum and every song, and kills those who get in his way with his golden sword. A bold inquisitor rooting out corruption for those in need, Kokoff is a hero for the people, a two-fisted champion with a reputation longer than his guitar solos.
