As if to reinforce the fact that they were about as far as one could get from Coruscant, the "speeder" they found waiting for them would have been illegal many times over on the Capitol-world. Shug had welded metal plating from starfighters on the sides, to armor the vehicle, and a swiveling cannon jutted out from the left side. A quick look inside the vehicle told them that it was going to be a tight fit once they got the cargo, so Darrius offered to stay behind.
<The vehicle has three "active" spots. One for the pilot, one for a gunner, and one for a navigator. The gunner's seat is more exposed than the pilot or navigator, to offer better visibility>

'Aw right!' Kyrin said, gleefully, climbing into the gunner's seat. 'I call shotgun!'

"I guess I could act as navigator or pilot if need be," Tala says contemplatively.

Jam slides into the navigator's seat without much to say, knowing that it's his spot. His senses are keenly tuned, giving him a good idea of what's going on around him. Plus, as a bodyguard, he's usually doing some kind of navigation. It's just natural to him.

(OOC: I assume the "swivelling cannon" is a Heavy Weapon. So, Kyrin's attack roll would be 1d20-2 (+3 from her Dexterity modifier, -5 because she's not proficient in heavy weapons). Hmm... I should probably start using my Force Points to improve my dice rolls.)

The speeder was anything but smooth; it was pretty obvious that the engines had been designed for heavy industrial use, and not to provide a comfortable ride. They made their way through several very narrow corridors, following Shug Ninx's directions. Soon enough they found that they were so far beneath the city-moon's surface that the instruments on the vehicle no longer functioned... a perfect setup for some kind of ambush.
Unfortunately, they didn't see the ambush coming until the first blast had already struck the speeder, rocking it harshly. Then they heard the sound of four swoop engines racing toward them...

'Huh. Swoop gangs,' Kyrin muttered. 'I guess I should 've realised there'd be a good reason f'r this thing bein' so heavily armoured.' She took hold of the big gun and struggled to aim the thing. This was gonna be difficult... ______________ Initiative Roll: 1d20+8 = 16Move Action: Get into a position where she can fire the big gun. Swift Action: *Activate* the big gun. Standard Action: Fire the big gun. Roll to hit: 1d20-2 = Automatic Miss (OOC: Wow. That is the worst I've yet rolled for this game.) ______________ Initiative +8 Ref: 16 (flat-footed 13), Fort: 11, Will: 13 Passive Perception: 16 (Perception: 6)

"Oh disa is bombad trouble..." Jam mutters under his breath. He quickly jumps to Tala in whatever way he can, be it swatting away debris with his AtlAtl or pointing him toward a possible shortcut. ------ Initiative 15Aid Another 15OOC: Hopefully the +2 will be enough?

Even with Jam shouting instructions, Tala found the controls woefully unresponsive, probably because they were designed for a full-grown pilot ( ). Kyrin opened up with the blaster, but had trouble ranging her shot, and blasted a chunk out of the ceiling behind them. That was sure to get the attention of the authorities... if there were any. Meanwhile, the four swoops continued firing, their blasts rocking the speeder. They took up positions, two in front and two behind the speeder, and the lead rider gestured for the speeder to pull over.
