I don't agree that the Jedi are super characters in the Clone Wars cartoon. While they have been shown to be able to wipe out masses of droids at a time, they've also been shown to be pretty vulnerable to skilled non-Force Users.
I actually think Clone Wars, despite the proliferation of Jedi characters, captures the feel of the OT a lot better than the prequels ever did. Still not a fan though, for the most part. I can't stand Anakin's little apprentice chick, and most of the Jedi act like such pricks that I find myself going "y'know, maybe they deserved to bite it."

They have shown vulnerability, but it just seems that the clones get picked off right and left, no problem. The same clones that take down the Jedi. True, the caught them off guard, but still it just doesn't fit IMO.
Not to say there aren't super troopers. Rex kicks butt, but still seems to be no comparison with a Jedi. Those guys are bred for battle, yet a padawan seems like a stronger warrior.
But the focus of the show is the Jedi, not the clones. They depict the show to show off the Jedi.
I do agree with you about the smugness of the Jedi. And sometimes it just seems they are willy-nilly with the troops, as if their lives have no value. I remember something like Asoka, or maybe Anakin, being foolish and leading troops and them getting plucked off and she/he is only slightly reprimanded. They really don't seem that remorseful. C'mon, the clones are people too. At least, from my vantage point. But it's just a cartoon and the horrors of war are supposed to be a mystery. But at least in GI Joe noone died... (well, not for the most part... those vehicles blew up and people crawled out).

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised at all if part of the danged intention was to make the Jedi appear like jerks so the kiddies wouldn't be as upset over Anakin becoming evil and the clones suddenly becoming stormies. Of course, I don't trust The Flanneled One and LucasArts as a whole when it comes to opportunities to make money: I think they'll do anything to make some extra bucks and the childhood of older fans be damned (I'm looking at you Episode I). I'm honestly waiting for them to make an episode about a misunderstood Anzati who only slurps the brains of womp-rats and just wants to love.
Oh yeah, speaking of kiddies being upset about Anakin becoming Vader, I didn't make that up. I've been working at a summer camp since 2003, so this incident happened during the summer of 2005. So anyway, friend of mine and I were talking about how good the novelization for Episode 3 was in comparison to the movie during a slow period at the boating area. Either my friend or I made a reference to Anakin becoming Vader and this kid who was packing up near us starts going nuts.
"What do you mean Anakin becomes Darth Vader?? I haven't seen the movie yet! Oh no, Anakin is my favorite character!!" *Friend and I are just staring at the kid in disbelief* Me: "Uhh yeah, he becomes Vader. Haven't you seen the original trilogy?" Kid: "No... what are they about?"

Honestly, my favorite episodes of that show have been the ones which focus on the clones and the psychology of being of just one of millions of identical people genetically bred for warfare.

I, too, really enjoy the moments where they focus on the Clones. Unfortunately, they're very rare.

As the Udileu asked to inspect the item Leth absently placed his hand on his blaster. Udileu is a Pau'an, not a species.

Ok. For the sake of the boards and online gaming… here’s what we are going to do for combat. Everything should remain the same as if you were playing on a table top with the following exceptions:
- I will not post damage until the following round, just in case you have a response. This rule is more inclined toward the Force users who can respond with Force powers or block/deflect. If you chose to respond, please do so in your following post. Be it a small simple post or in your next post for the following round. - Please be specific with how you want to move. You can be generic enough to say next to “Stormtrooper A,” which I will interpret how I see fit. Or you can be as specific as “1 space right, 3 spaces up, 1 space left and then 1 space down,” which will leave me with little to no room to interpret. Anyway, being as specific as possible will cut down on GM interpretation, misunderstandings and the infamous Attack of Opportunity. - If you do not update, at least once every five days (I know this can be really tough as there has been months when I was gone on online forums.) while in combat, I will take a turn for your character for the purposes of keeping the game and combat moving. If this does not happen, games can come to a grinding halt.
Up to now these are the only combat rules I can think of. If something comes up in game it will be addressed. And FYI:
- Green lines on the map mean hindering terrain, while purple lines mean obstructing terrain (usually walls you cannot climb, ect.)

WWBD? (What would Bortuga Do?) We can roll initiative and all, but does Bortuga want to mess with the Sith? Does he feel as if he's above the law? What is his viewpoint toward a product he hasn't purchased being confiscated? Does he want his establishment damaged?
I'll get into combat if that's what he'd want. But that's what I want to know so I can continue.

I don't know about Bortuga, but Leth has decided to take his and his crewmans fate into his own... mouth. I kinda expect him to fail but thought Leth would try to talk his way out of a fight first, and probably try to lie his way out first...
My post asks Theel which of Bortuga's guys he thinks is the rat, but I left that a little unclear intentiaonally. If Theel misunderstands and doesn't realize i am try to pretend he is my partner and that we are trying to take down bortuga together he might botch my quickly hobbled together lie which would also seem realistic.
Just a few thoughts i had about my post...

WWBD? (What would Bortuga Do?) We can roll initiative and all, but does Bortuga want to mess with the Sith? Not really, but they are after something he really wants! No. But… these guys are holding him hostage under gun point in his own bar. He really isn’t upset about the antique as much as being held up at his bar. Although the holocron being taken is a close second. No! By all means no! He really doesn’t care for combat unless he holds the upper hand. Being here, now… he is kinda caught with his pants down. Although he might advocate a little slight of hand or something of that nature. Perhaps even… someone making a run for it as well, as long as they don’t run through his shop. For now however… Bortuga is more inclined to do as the gentlemen say… although it is much more than embarrassing to him.

Leth quickly began fabricating a lie that he could get the crew out of here with... with or with out the the holocron! He didn't have time to think about consequences... "I DO NOT BELIVE THIS!" Leth called out to the imperial officer as he pulled his weapon. "I have been working this case for too long for some hot shot to come in and try and take the credit for Bortuga's take down!Who is your commanding officer?" Before he could answer Leth began again, "You know what i don't even care! Let me guess, one of Bortuga's goons thought he would tip you guys off and make some big cred, Theel which one of these disloyal son of a bantha was is do you think?" That may have been a mistake... thought Leth to himself. Please play along Leth kept thinking to himself as his words hung in the air... LOL! Nice! I think Darth Erasmus will have some fun with you! ;D

Huge thanks on the perspective of Bortuga. That helps a lot.
Ok, Leth just barely beat Udileu's will defense, does he believe the deception or would there have been a penalty to his role? That will determine also what he will end up doing.
Sorry for being picky, but it makes it more fun.
