Anybody interested in playing in a game using this system? The only book I have is the core rulebook, so we'd stick strictly to what's in there.
If enough are interested, I'll post more details.

That would depend entirely on the concept/scenario. I'm not a huge fan of d20 Modern, but its a system I'll play if the game is interesting enough.

Ah, well I'm thinking something fairly generic actiony. I definitely want the feeling of normal people getting involved in supernormal activities (I think d20 Modern is great for that), but I can't think of a specific movie or book that I would want it to feel like. I do know that I wouldn't want to run Modern-Day D&D.

Here's what I'm sensing. Feel free not to confirm. You know what you want to run, but you feel like defining it too much would give away something you don't want to... uh, give away.
To whit I say: interesting.
Consider me interested in a Charismatic Hero.

Ooo, what about the two of you and that's it? It would be some kind of action duo along the lines of Rush Hour, but less lame?
Also, WK, I wouldn't want you getting in on false pretenses; I really have no idea what I want to run and plan on coming up with that with whatever players I get. As I said before, the only thing I want to avoid is Modern D&D.

I have access to the Modern SRD. I might be interested depending on the type of game.

For an idea, the most supernatural I'm willing to go is the "Shadow Chasers" setting from the core book. Urban Arcana really just doesn't do it for me (the only cool thing about it, I think, is a palm pilot spellbook). Otherwise, the type of game is up to the players (which I would like to be no more than 4).

What I think would be fun would be "normal" characters dealing with a supernatural element. Preferably, one they weren't previously aware of.

I played in a D20 modern game that was really fun. The premise was that we were all part of an undercover government contractor agency, called “Plan B.” Basically we were all agents with various specialties (computer, interrogation, ect) that counter/spied for the US government. Although our agency “doesn’t exist,” we were privy to very classified information and had access to government operations as long as we got the job done and it couldn’t be tracked to them.
Basically think high-tech spy gaming similar to that of a James Bond-esq feel.

What I think would be fun would be "normal" characters dealing with a supernatural element. Preferably, one they weren't previously aware of. This is kind of what I was thinking. I would start it out without any supernatural at first and then segue in more supernatural stuff to explain things that had been going on. By supernatural, by the way, I mean aliens, zombies, Victorian era monsters (vampires, werewolves, etc.), and cryptids, not wizards, dragons, and the like.
