Not bad still needing the book to get it all thru my head again, but pretty good

So seriously, what is up with the weapons in Scion and their funky names? Honestly, how hard would it have been to have a couple different kinds of swords with generic names, and then list some suggested specific names in their descriptions? You know, like ever other proper gaming system ever?
Its great that I can find a spatha, it really is. But when I can't even find a simple throwing knife, something is wrong.

If it's that big a problem, I'd be inclined to agree.

Everybody except Playah is more or less ready. Reemo should have his background in to me by Monday, and in the meantime I'll be finishing adapting The Long Road to Heaven (especially the Second Act) to your guys' characters.

Everybody keeps talking about this story arc thing... I'm going to guess this is something White Wolf published? I only have the core book, currently. Were they put out as separate "adventure books" or were these part of a sourcebook? (Back in the day, White Wolf would sometimes put out a sourcebook that had an adventure path in the second half of the book... Night of the Blood Red Moon, et al. Some of them were really fun stuff. My favorite was Monkeywrench, Pentex)

There is a storyline at the back of Hero, and I think it continues in Demigod and concludes in God. Please, nobody read it. ^__^ I haven't even looked for a section about titanspawn.. I want to be surprised and totally unprepared when we meet one. No idea what to expect.

News: I posted my sheet (I keep wanting to say CAD); I hope that's okay. Also, I'm actually finding some evidence that bonus dice from Arete are meant to increase DVs. this site, as well as a few FAQs and character sheets on the White Wolf forums (which are sadly currently down) all factor in Arete in DVs. What do you think? EDIT: Actually, I seem to be finding it both ways. Seems like a matter of house rules, so nevermind. ^__^ ~TWF

Wow, I didn't even know it was back there.
Thats okay... I never read an adventure I might play. As handy as the "advantage" might be, I get bored of storylines quickly enough when I don't know whats going on...

Hrmmm... obviously I've missed something for my sheet that you guys know about. Dodge Value, Parry Value, Soak Value, etc. Someone want to direct me to the page where I can find those so I can calculate mine? ;D

Looks like you have the DVs down.
There are 3 kinds of soak: Aggravated, Lethal and Bashing. You get Bashing soak equal to your Stamina. As a Scion, you also get Lethal soak equal to half this amount. You can only get Aggravated soak via Epic Stamina (and probably some other special sources).
So, Joseph would have A0 / L1 / B2 as his soak values. You can also get soak from armor.
Movement is equal to your Dex in yards; also, you get extra yards for Epic Dex. In Joseph's case, his Move is 4 dex + 4 epic yards = 8 yards total, which is damn fast. If you take the Dash action you get Dex + 6 yards + DOUBLE epic yards. Joseph's Dash would be 18 yards.
Jump is Strength + Athletics in yards vertically, and double that horizontally. Joseph would leap 4 yards vertical, 8 yards horizontal, for example.
I think that's about it. Oh and the roll to Join Battle is Wits + Awareness.
